Outdoor Accessibility Training

This is a generic course to help individuals, centres, landowners and organisations, increase their understanding and awareness of disabilities, so that they can improve the accessibility, of their services and sites.

WHAT DOES THE COURSE INCLUDE?

• Disability terminology
• Barriers to accessing the natural environment
• Overview of physical and learning impairments
• Adaptive communication techniques
• Managing wheelchairs in an off road environment
• Basic transfer techniques 
• Understanding natural terrain
• Equipment and resources available

The course has been designed based on our experiences as an organisation ensuring as many people as possible can access the natural environment.
